WHAT IS NEW / ON THE HORIZON?

2009 / 2010 IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF ST PAUL CRUISE tours, a 10-day itenerary featuring Mainland Greece, Istanbul, Asia Minor, and the Greek Islands are featured on page 17 of our main brochure. Prices include outside cabins and all meals except two lunches. Lecture on the sites to be seen the following day by historian and Bible scholars are available aboard your ship. Inside cabins and suites are available at lesser or additional charges respectively.

2010 is the year of the OBERAMMERGAU PASSION PLAYS in the German village of Oberammergau. In the early 17th century another plague was besieging Europe. The people of Oberammergau decided - the Alps tower behind the village inhabited mostly by wood carvers – to prohibit anyone from entering. Well, a homesick villager did and soon thereafter inhabitants became sick with the disease. CPC Tours is privileged to be again part of this important event. In 2000 we organized 54 groups who saw the Passion Plays. All were sold out a long time in advance - for 2010 please reserve early.

During a subsequent town-meeting a pledge was formulated that if the inhabitants will be spared they will stage a play of His passion every 10 years forever. The first play took place in 1634. As then all performers must be residents of Oberammergau.
